The week started with a stakeholder workshop with inspiring discussions and input
On Monday 9 October, we hosted our second stakeholder workshop. The aim of the workshop was to discuss the now refined Standardisation Roadmap of the project.
The meeting was introduced by project coordinator Enrico Mayrhofer from Piaggio, who reflected on the advancements the project has made since its beginning in December 2023. The particular advancements on the work related to the development of the standardisation roadmap for swappable batteries for light category vehicles was presented by Bernard Gindroz from BMGI, who also summarised the feedback recieved on the first stakeholder workshop on 15 July.
The stakeholders remained engaged through out the entire meeting and made valuable comments and remarks to the agenda points which included a discussion of standardisation gaps in the following areas:
Battery level
Vehicle level
Charging station/infrastructure level
Interface and full system management level
The workshop also included a discussion of the recommendations regarding communication which should be included in the roadmap, as well as a general debate about pre-normative research needs.
The final roadmap will be presented at the final conference of Stan4SWAP on 19 November at the VUB in Brussels.
Recordings and presentations of the second stakeholder meeting can be found here.
