Stan4SWAP presented its results to the participants at Polis' annual conference
The annual Polis conference 2025 took place on 26-27 November in Utrecht. The event is a European reference point for sustainable urban mobility and gathers city and regional representatives from all over Europe as well industrial stakeholders with innovative solutions.
The anticipation of the participants towards this event should not be taken lightly. Before the official opening of the conference, participants could already join various sessions according to their interests. One of these sessions featured Stan4SWAP and was dedicated to light category EVs under the title "Cars and Carbs: Lifting up the LEVs"
The session was moderated by Willem van Heijningen representing the city Amsterdam and gave a broad insight to this category of transport resulting in a interesting debate with the audience. First Antonio Perlot from ACEM set the scene regarding the different categories and their appeal in a presentation titled: Promoting the integration of clean L-category vehicles: Towards a better mobility of citizens and efficient light logistics.

His presentation was followed by the demonstration project named GIANTS, presented by Stefan Werland from Wupperttal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy. The project which had also covered the used of swappable batteries was natural segway to the presentation of Stan4SWAP. With the event being just one week after our final event we were able to share valuable insights to the standardisation roadmap which was appreciated by the audience as well as promote the free educational material. The session ended with a presentation focussing on user behaviour and preferences by Paul van de Coevering of Stichting Breda University of Applied Sciences.

The session ended with a panel debated before everyone was invited to the official opening of the conference.
