You are invited: Stakeholder consultation on swappable batteries

7 Jul 2025

What should a swappable battery look like? What kind of considerations for fire safety and other safety aspects should be made? What considerations should be made at infrastructure level? What could its digital passport look like?

These could be some of the questions that standardisation of swappable batteries for light category electric vehicles should answer. But we want to hear what is on your mind!

On 15 July, we organise a stakeholder consultation towards the development of a roadmap for standardisation of swappable batteries for light category vehicles. We want to hear from a broad range of stakeholders to make sure our roadmap is as relevant as possible and can enable policy makers, standardisation experts, industry, owners and developers of infrastructure as well as users of light category EVs to take the driving seat in the decarbonisation of the mobility sector.

The workshop will take place online and is open to all upon prior registration via this link
